I’m actively performing as a musician but I also successfully started up Folklore Sessions. The modern day musician has to be doing more than one thing, I’m an example of how it is possible to merge them together and to be active in the industry both as a performer and behind the scenes.

About Jacko
Jacko Hooper is a singer-songwriter from Brighton who also runs promotions company and boutique record label Folklore Sessions.
He is also the Live Events Manager for The Brunswick, booking over 500 shows a year across two rooms.
Jacko started his musical journey at the age of 11 performing in bands in and around Brighton, where he is from and since 2012 performed as a solo artist performing shows and festivals across Europe.
His touring history includes; James Bay, Chet Faker, James Blunt, Passenger, Michael Kiwanuka, Kiefer Sutherland, Russian Red, Amber Run, SOAK, Foxes, Freya Ridings and many, many more.
His experience as an active performer in the industry as well as a promoter/booker and record label owner has given him a wealth of experience of music from grassroots shows to major label artists.
